1. Operator and status

MineThings is an unofficial, independently operated restoration presented by Serif. The original game was created by Japhet Stevens. This restoration is not endorsed by or affiliated with Japhet Stevens, previous operators, PayPal or any owner of third-party names, code or artwork. No transfer of those third-party rights is claimed.

Real-money checkout is not available. The operator's legal name, geographic address and contact email have not been configured for publication.

2. Accounts and acceptable use

You must provide accurate registration information, protect your password and use only accounts you are authorised to control. Do not exploit vulnerabilities, automate abusive traffic, interfere with other miners, launder value, harass people, or transmit unlawful material. Accounts may be restricted or closed where reasonably necessary for security, abuse prevention or operation of the service.

3. Experimental service

The restoration is provided on an experimental, as-available basis. Game rules, balancing and availability may change. No promise is made that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, permanently available, or that game data can always be preserved.

4. Credits and payments

Credits are a limited, revocable licence to use designated features inside MineThings. They are not money, stored value, an investment, property transferable outside the game, or redeemable for cash. Prices are shown in GBP inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. PayPal processes payment details; MineThings does not receive or store your card number.

Credits are supplied immediately after PayPal reports a completed capture. Checkout asks for express consent to immediate digital supply and acknowledgement of the effect on the statutory cancellation period. This does not remove rights arising from faulty, misdescribed or undelivered digital content. Refunds and charge reversals remove the corresponding credits; the balance may become negative and credit spending is then disabled until restored.

Receipts and the accepted terms version remain available in purchase history. Contact the seller before initiating a dispute where practical.

5. Privacy

Controller, purposes and bases. The operator identified above controls the personal data used by MineThings. Account and gameplay data are processed to create and perform your account and provide features you request; payment records are processed to perform purchases and meet legal, accounting and dispute obligations; and security, moderation, fraud prevention and service-integrity records are processed for the operator's legitimate interests in running a safe, reliable game. A verified email is required to hold an account. MineThings does not use account data for advertising or automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.

Data collected. MineThings stores your miner name, mandatory verified email, a one-way password hash, verification-token hashes and delivery audit data; game possessions, actions, settings and communications; and essential security and session information. An essential HttpOnly session cookie keeps you signed in. If Google sign-in is enabled, MineThings stores the Google account identifier and email returned during sign-in. If payments are enabled, it stores PayPal order and capture identifiers, amount, currency, status, consent and audit entries, but not card numbers.

Who can see it. Miner names, profile details you choose to show, market activity, guild membership, public chat and public world or battle records can be visible to other miners. Private messages are addressed to their participants and guild chat to current guild members. The operator may access records where necessary to administer, secure or moderate the service.

Sharing and retention. Data is shared only with service infrastructure and, when you choose them, Google for sign-in and PayPal for payment. Those providers process data under their own notices and may process it internationally. Account and gameplay records are kept while the account remains active or the persistent world requires them. Security, moderation and payment records are kept for as long as reasonably needed to prevent abuse, resolve disputes and meet legal or accounting duties, then deleted or anonymised where practical.

Your rights. Depending on the processing and its legal basis, you may ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability. You may object at any time to processing based on legitimate interests. Contact the published seller address above. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office. Some requests may be limited by other people's rights or legal, security and fraud-prevention retention duties.

6. Rights and submitted content

Names, code, artwork and other historical MineThings material remain the property of their respective rights holders. Identification of Japhet Stevens as the original creator is attribution, not a claim of endorsement or ownership by him of this restoration.

You retain any rights you hold in content you submit. You grant the operator a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, reproduce, transmit, display and moderate that content only as reasonably necessary to operate, secure and preserve MineThings. You must not submit content you have no right to use.

7. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost game progress, lost opportunities, loss caused by user equipment or third-party services, or events outside reasonable control. For loss that may lawfully be limited, aggregate liability is capped at the greater of £100 and the amount you paid to MineThings in the preceding 12 months.

Nothing excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, breach of rights that cannot be excluded under consumer law, or any other liability the law does not permit to be excluded.

8. Changes and disputes

New terms apply when accepted at registration or checkout; a receipt records the applicable version. Material changes will be identified by a new version and effective date. Courts in England and Wales have jurisdiction, without depriving consumers of any mandatory right to bring proceedings elsewhere.
